I was installing Windows Server 2008 R2 in a KVM-based virtual machine. I got a strange error message telling me that windows could not be installed because of error 0x80300001.
Turns out: That error basically tells you that the installer is missing the Windows Server DVD-ROM. As I was installing the virtio drivers, I simply forgot to take out the virtio ISO image and pop in the Windows Server 2008 installation ISO…
